Armorer Certification Workshops
Throughout the year different firearm manufacturers conduct factory armorer certification workshops at the school. These are optional classes offered to CST students who qualify. Fees are set by the manufacturers, e.g., Glock, Beretta, Sig-Sauer, Remington, Benelli, FNH, and Armalite.
The following weekend workshops may be offered:
CUSTOMIZING YOUR 1911
This workshop has two sections. The first section deals with customizing a factory pistol and covers fitting small parts, completing a trigger job, tuning for reliability, dehorning, and installing combat style sights. The second section covers the accuracy work, building a pistol from parts kits, hand checkering, and advanced machining operations.
GUNSMITHING FOR THE COMPETITIVE SHOTGUNNER
The objective of this two section workshop is to gain understanding of the needs and mind set of the competitive shotgun shooter. Upon completion of this workshop the student should have a good working knowledge of the various shotgun games and how the Gunsmith can help the shooter improve. The last half of the first section will include a half day at the range for instruction and shooting. The second section of the workshop will focus on building a try gun and fitting a shotgun to your customer.
