About Our School
The Colorado School of Trades (CST) is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). CST is also approved and regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Division of Private Occupational Schools (DPOS).
CST students come from all across the United States and many foreign countries. The school is located in Lakewood, Colorado, (10 minutes from Denver) situated at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Our facilities are in a 20,000 square foot building of which 18,000 square feet is devoted to our lab. The lab is fully equipped with 27 engine lathes, 7 vertical milling machines, drill presses, a bluing department, bead blaster, complete Oxy-Acetylene and TIG welding equipment, band saws, disc sanders, polishing machines, and additional miscellaneous equipment. Additionally, the school has a computer lab and a Snail test firing booth.
Our curriculum is unique among Gunsmithing schools, in that our students learn Gunsmithing through the repair of customer firearms in the largest Gunsmithing shop in the U.S.
